Functional Title: Vehicle Programming Specialist

PAY: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour DOE

Contract: This is a short term assignment ending 12/31/2025.

Interview Type: 

Onsite interviews are required, and you will be able to view the site.

Employee-paid medical benefits are available on the 1st of the month after your 1st day of work.

PTO and holiday pay are provided.

Hours: Shift: Alternating Shift

One week (8 AM to 4 PM) & One week (12 PM to 8 PM).

First 2 weeks all 5 days in office, after training hybrid schedule 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.


Responsibilities:

Reply and follow-up for TSARA/IRAP requests:

Remote software vehicle programming to verify and confirm mileage on vehicles after our dealers perform IB replacement due to NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) safety recall.

Provide an adequate and professional reply to TSARA / IRAP requests from dealers after reviewing the information provided and programming the necessary software in vehicles as required.

Utilize all the internal information and systems such as FASTA, Current Issues library, Service Information Bulletins, Warranty History, etc. to verify that the correct software and solution is installed on the vehicles as needed.

Software implementation & follow-up as required:

Work with Product Engineering regarding the release of new software solutions for our dealers as required.

Work with our Warranties department on our pilot programs for control unit recoveries as needed.

Follow up closely with TSEs and Product Engineers in case of urgent and/or escalated cases from dealers.

Participate in internal and specialized technical training sessions as required, as well as plan and participate in internal workshop technical training on a regular basis and as needed.

Exchange of information with product engineers in relation to the customer complaints related to technical issues discovered through the IRAP process.


Basic job duties may include but are not limited to:

Repair problems and perform required maintenance on brand vehicles to the highest quality standards according to approved procedures and within flat rate guidelines when possible.

Inform unusual findings via the Quality Assurance form.

Review all technical literature to maintain and repair vehicles in accordance with brand standards.

Maintain a clean, safe, professional workstation and assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workshop environment according to standards.

Attend technical training to acquire know-how of new and revised repair procedures.


Education:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferred but not required, equivalent Technical Support experience with vehicles.


Qualifications:

Min 5+ years in technical training and working experience as Master Technician level for vehicles.

Significant attention to detail to ensure that mileage on vehicles is correct and programming was successful.

Strong IT understanding and proficiency of utilizing different special Engineering software.

Excellent communication skills.

Good understanding of automotive technology.
