Electrical Maintenance Journeyman

Job Description:
 The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic plays a key role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing equipment. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and machinery to reduce downtime and support overall production goals. Works closely with the maintenance and production teams to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety standards.

Pay: $25/hr - $30/hr
Schedule: Full-time; may require overtime, weekends, or emergency call-ins

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions to restore equipment functionality
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to minimize disruption
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts usage
• Ensure all tasks meet safety regulations and company policies
• Support HVAC system maintenance as needed
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Production Manager to resolve major issues
• Contribute to a positive team environment and promote safety awareness
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift and move objects over 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
• Exposure to warm plant environments depending on the season

Required Skills & Experience:

• Licensed Journeyman or minimum of 5 years of consistent electrical work experience
• Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with HVAC systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
