Boiler Maintenance Temp:
Start up and shut down plant machinery daily. Operate and maintain boiler systems, perform water and pH tests, and respond to maintenance calls promptly. Inspect, repair, and test equipment; clean and lubricate mechanical parts; clear jams and lint buildup. Handle chemical drum changes, A/C filter replacements, and monitor for system leaks. Log parts for reorder and modify equipment to improve efficiency and safety. Coordinate with vendors on repairs and installations. Support safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and maintain the chemical room.
Pay: $25 - $31/ hr. DOE
Tennessee Boiler License required
Responsibilities:
- Start up and shut down plant machinery daily
- Operate boiler and boiler room equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform water and boiler tests; monitor pH system
- Conduct preventative maintenance using CMMS system
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and test production machinery
- Clean and lubricate machinery components; clear jams and lint buildup
- Change chemical drums, A/C filters, and wax machine blades
- Monitor for and resolve air, water, and oil leaks
- Log parts used and assist with reordering
- Customize equipment to improve safety, efficiency, and workflow
- Collaborate with vendors on equipment repair or installation
- Work with the Safety Department to address hazards and implement solutions
- Perform lockout/tagout and other safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized chemical and maintenance room
Required Skills & Experience:
- Tennessee Boiler License required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production maintenance
- General knowledge of electrical systems and PLC-based controls
- Ability to safely operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts
- Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in warm environments and standing for long shifts
- Experience using CMMS software for logging work and tracking maintenance
