Customer Site Visits will primarily be in St Petersburg, FL and Clearwater, FL and should live within reasonable daily commute.
The Energy Advisors will support the promotion of products and services to non-residential client customers in Florida. Energy Advisors are responsible for performing energy audits at customer facilities, following up on leads, follow-up requires consistent phone and in person outreach. The Energy Advisor is knowledgeable in energy related products and solutions. They will be trained to promote and sell energy efficiency rebates, load control, charger and clean energy solutions within their jurisdictions. Energy Advisors will use Salesforce as a CRM tool and must keep it updated weekly for clear sight into the sales pipeline.
Typical Weekly Schedule: primarily Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm can flex to meet customer/business needs.

Client basic JD:
 This position conducts routine and mandated inspections of Residential Energy Efficiency Programs to ensure regulatory compliance and code specifications are met. Serves as subject matter expert on all Energy Efficiency Programs and technical inquires. Must be able to perform blower door tests and duct blaster test with the full understanding of equipment and quantifying and explaining duct system and envelope leakage. Ability to proficiently perform residential on-site energy analysis of customers premise and equipment operation, determining appropriate programs to assist with maximum efficiency. Ability to provide appropriate Energy Efficiency programs that result in cost effective measures which satisfy customer needs and contribute to the corporate energy reduction goals. May be asked to assist in customer issues resolution, contractor issues resolution and damage claims resolution. Provide new hire and ongoing training to Energy Efficiency Specialists (EES) as needed. Participate in or lead corporate or industry related committees or projects that can include after hours and weekends. Must be technically sound with clear understanding of electrical and electronic principles, building envelopes, equip operation, HVAC operations, and maintaining an understanding of residential building codes. You must be capable of climbing, bending, lifting a minimum of 25lbs and working in confined spaces. Must be able to travel long distances as needed to meet compliance needs. Strong customer relations skills along with excellent communication skills are required. The ability to work autonomously and independent decision-making ability is imperative. Technical aptitude and working knowledge of energy Efficiency programs are necessary to be successful with required audit certification.

Requirements: 

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or applicable certification or equivalent work experience.
  •  Strong technical or mechanical background, Trade degree or 4 yr college degree preferred.

Preferred:

  • NATE and BPI certification, 1-2 years minimum experience in HVAC business, EPA Certificate, Must have knowledge of company.
  • Skills: Operate hand tools, Operate computerized routing and scheduling devices, Operate HVAC and Building Performance diagnostic tool, Operate motor vehicle safely.
  •  Preform Tune-up inspections on residential HVAC systems using digital gauges.
