Digital Content Specialist
As a part of the Enterprise Innovation team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping our smarter energy future. You will be responsible for managing digital content assets such as text, images, and video across various Duke Energy digital platforms. This role involves capturing and editing high-quality video footage, creating compelling PowerPoint presentations, and managing multiple projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all content aligns with company's brand standards and effectively communicates key messages to the target audience. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce creative and effective digital content that meets the company's digital standards and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Videography: Capture high-quality video footage for various projects, tutorials, interviews, and events. Ensure all video content is visually appealing and aligns with Duke Energy brand standards.
• Video Editing: Edit raw video footage into polished, professional videos. This includes adding graphics, animations, sound effects, and music to enhance the overall quality and storytelling of the content. This role will be heavily focused on producing short videos and podcast editing.
• PowerPoint and Design: Create compelling visual narratives for PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate key messages and engage the audience. Utilize design principles to ensure presentations are both informative and aesthetically pleasing.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content. Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Ensure the delivery of creative, effective digital content consistent with the company’s digital standards, brand standards, and voice.
• Produce work that is consistently on-time and within budget, meeting the client's strategy, core message, target audience, and specific goals.

• Strong skills in advanced digital content management systems, personalization, content governance and auditing, web design best practices, mobility, search engine optimization (SEO), search, html, analytics, accessibility, cross-channel integration, knowledge of new channels, techniques and software as needed
• Proven commitment to producing superior quality work while following Duke Energy digital and brand guidelines and has the ability to receive feedback and iterate accordingly
• Produce work that is consistently on-time and within budget, meeting the client's strategy, core message, target audience, and specific goals
• Show strong follow-through and attention to detail from project initiation through completion, working within established workflow processes
• Innovative storyteller who leads with optimism, curiosity and courage
• Proficiency of software for specific functional areas such as but not limited to Sitecore, SharePoint 365, Google Analytics, Jira, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
• Education/Degree - High School, Associate, Bachelor, Master: Graduation from a four-year college or university in Communications or Business Administration.
• Years of prior equivalent work-related experience in lieu of a degree (if applicable): High School/GED and 10+ years.
• Years of prior equivalent work-related experience in addition to a degree: 5-8 years with Bachelor's Degree.
