Energy Efficiency Specialist I. Non-Residential Description below:
Florida – Lake Wales or NorthPoint
This position supports client Non-Residential Energy Efficiency Programs to ensure regulatory compliance and code specifications are met. Serves as subject matter expert on all Energy Efficiency Programs and technical inquires. Candidate will have the capability to contribute in multiple ways including application processing, invoicing and general customer service responsibilities.
Primary duties to include program support and interacting with internal staff regarding energy-saving programs. Must be able to work directly with program administrators, IT staff, financial analyst, and engineers to understand their energy conservation goals and gather the information needed to analyze energy saving options.
Typical Functions: Runs and documents financial analysis projects. Aids organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control. Evaluates and analyzes capital expenditures, proposals, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial reports, etc. Assists in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, commission requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts. May act as consultant to program staff on financial policies, procedures, and applications. Strong customer relations skills along with excellent communication skills are required. Ability to work autonomously and independent decision-making ability is imperative. Financial aptitude and working knowledge of energy industry principles is necessary to be successful.
Requirements:
3-6 years’ experience preferred.
