Overview:
The P6 Primavera Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules using Primavera P6. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met and resources are optimally allocated. This role is critical in supporting the successful execution of projects by providing detailed schedule analysis, progress tracking, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Development: Create and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, including project milestones, deliverables, resource allocation, and critical paths.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly update project schedules to reflect actual progress, and provide variance analysis to identify deviations from the baseline.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with project teams to ensure that resources are effectively allocated and utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Analysis: Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure that project deadlines are met.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute regular schedule reports, including Gantt charts, earned value analysis, and progress reports, to project stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to communicate schedule updates, challenges, and changes.
- Change Management: Manage schedule changes, ensuring that all adjustments are documented, analyzed, and communicated to relevant parties.
- Compliance: Ensure that all scheduling activities comply with company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as any relevant contractual or regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling, with a strong focus on using Primavera P6 software.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of project management principles and scheduling techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) certification is a plus (preferred but not required)
