One (1) Qualified Inspector, Level III to perform inspections of traffic
control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and
materials, and all issues concerning the construction of the project.
Determines the acceptability of the day-to-day work performed by the
contractor. Review and recommend accepting or rejecting daily reports
submitted by the contractor. The CI-III shall verify that procedures are in
conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and established
procedures, reviews material submittals and testing procedures and results
for conformance to the contract and updates the project Material Register.
CI-III will measure, and records quantities of materials placed, performs
takeoffs to determine conformance with required quantity amounts. May
be required to assist with the finalization of quantities for the monthly
progress estimate. The CI-III may be required to maintain the daily project
diary, complete Inspector’s Daily Reports (IDR), and other forms as
required. The CI-III must be able to coordinate and schedule the efforts of
others and must be proficient on the internet, Microsoft Outlook, Excel,
Word, and Primavera or other scheduling software.
? The ideal Construction Inspector Level III candidate should have
extensive experience in heavy highway construction projects and a strong
general understanding of key aspects, including traffic control, erosion
control, roadway excavation and embankment construction, geogrid and
gabion installation, aggregate base placement, Load Transfer Platform
(LTP) mechanically compacted aggregate columns such as
impact/displacement rammed aggregate piers, asphalt concrete pavement,
drilled shafts, and granular backfill installation (No. 57 stone).
Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft
Office applications such as Excel and Word, as well as Adobe Acrobat
(PDF) to effectively document and communicate project details.
? The period of performance for this task order is 291 calendar days, starting
from the expected date of award of April 7, 2025 until December 31,
2025. It is estimated that there will be 269 working days during this period
as winter shut down of work is expected. The COR will determine and
coordinate with the Contractor the start date for services.
? The personnel may be required to work nights and weekends.
