Key Staffing is proud to partner with a well-established agricultural client to find an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at a 24/7 facility. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, driving productivity, ensuring food safety, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.


Location: Tulare, CA

Salary Range: $120K - $150K



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day plant operations with a focus on safety, productivity, and quality

  • Manage budgets, operating costs, and plant labor needs

  • Ensure product quality and proper storage during and post-harvest

  • Monitor hulling and drying operations for safety and efficiency

  • Lead compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Optimize production methods to meet KPI and output goals

  • Coordinate interdepartmental workflow for streamlined operations

  • Supervise employee scheduling and plant staffing strategies

  • Direct maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure improvements

  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory management

  • Maintain organic certification and documentation

  • Partner with HR and Safety teams on health, safety, and regulatory initiatives

  • Keep all permits, licenses, and certifications current

  • Maintain facility cleanliness and readiness for inspections

  • Adjust production schedules as needed to meet business demands


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Agriculture, or related field, or 5+ years of experience managing 24/7 plant operations

  • Proven experience managing budgets and P&L

  • 2+ years in the pistachio or almond industry strongly preferred

  • Valid California Driver’s License

  • HACCP Certification

  • QAL (Qualified Applicator License) or willingness to obtain

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
