Key Staffing is proud to partner with a well-established agricultural client to find an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at a 24/7 facility. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, driving productivity, ensuring food safety, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Location: Tulare, CA
Salary Range: $120K - $150K
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day plant operations with a focus on safety, productivity, and quality
Manage budgets, operating costs, and plant labor needs
Ensure product quality and proper storage during and post-harvest
Monitor hulling and drying operations for safety and efficiency
Lead compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Optimize production methods to meet KPI and output goals
Coordinate interdepartmental workflow for streamlined operations
Supervise employee scheduling and plant staffing strategies
Direct maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure improvements
Oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory management
Maintain organic certification and documentation
Partner with HR and Safety teams on health, safety, and regulatory initiatives
Keep all permits, licenses, and certifications current
Maintain facility cleanliness and readiness for inspections
Adjust production schedules as needed to meet business demands
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Agriculture, or related field, or 5+ years of experience managing 24/7 plant operations
Proven experience managing budgets and P&L
2+ years in the pistachio or almond industry strongly preferred
Valid California Driver’s License
HACCP Certification
QAL (Qualified Applicator License) or willingness to obtain
