Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Job Location: Bakersfield, CA (with statewide travel)
Salary Range: $100,000–$120,000 annually + 10% bonus (DOE)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven and personable Outside Sales Representative to lead business development across California in the water well drilling supply industry. This position offers the opportunity to take over an established book of business from a retiring employee and further expand the client base. The ideal candidate thrives in a self-managed role, has excellent relationship-building skills, and is willing to travel overnight throughout the state.

Performance Objectives:
Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships while prospecting new clients
Conduct regular client visits across California, including overnight stays as needed
Deliver supplies using a company-provided F250 truck and gooseneck trailer
Operate forklift to manage deliveries and warehouse materials
Schedule and attend 6+ quality meetings per day that lead to closed sales
Participate in weekly 7AM Tuesday sales calls with the team
Accurately log all sales activities in CRM software
Manage your calendar, travel, and sales strategy with minimal oversight
Key Competencies:
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Resilient, thick-skinned, and results-oriented
Comfortable working independently and remotely
Ability to manage a sales territory and calendar with limited supervision
Knowledge of or experience in the drilling, construction, or water well industry (preferred)
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum age of 25 (insurance requirement for vehicle use)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must be able to tow a gooseneck trailer)
Proven experience in B2B or outside sales (inside sales considered with strong traits)
Forklift operation experience preferred
Experience in water well drilling or construction supply industry is highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays
Able to lift 50+ lbs and operate a forklift
Comfortable working in both office and outdoor yard environments
