Position Overview:
Key Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing company in the food processing and agricultural industry. This is a direct hire opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a dynamic team in McFarland, CA. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of AP processes within a high-volume, production-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice entry, approval routing, payment processing, and vendor account reconciliation.
• Supervise and mentor AP staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payables.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring all inquiries and discrepancies are resolved quickly.
• Partner with purchasing, receiving, and inventory departments to ensure invoice accuracy and PO matching.
• Prepare weekly cash requirement reports and support cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and GAAP compliance.
• Manage month-end close processes related to AP, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Oversee annual 1099 reporting and ensure IRS compliance.
• Continuously assess and improve AP processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience working in agriculture, food manufacturing, or a similar industry is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Famous software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload with accuracy.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
