Key Staffing is seeking a Facility Manager for a client in the Medical Field located in Bakersfield, CA.


Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of medical facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This role oversees facility operations, compliance with healthcare regulations, vendor management, and maintenance of medical equipment and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facility Operations:

    • Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, including cleanliness, utilities, and security.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facility maintenance and management.
  2. Maintenance and Repairs:

    • Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical equipment.
    • Coordinate timely repairs to ensure minimal disruption to medical services.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, ADA, and healthcare facility standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections to meet accreditation and safety requirements.
  4. Vendor and Contract Management:

    • Negotiate contracts and oversee third-party vendors for janitorial, landscaping, waste disposal, and other facility services.
    • Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and adherence to contracts.
  5. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Develop and manage the facilities budget, including capital improvements and operating expenses.
    • Optimize resource use to reduce costs without compromising quality.
  6. Emergency Preparedness:

    • Develop and maintain emergency plans for natural disasters, power outages, and other critical situations.
    • Train staff on evacuation and emergency response procedures.
  7. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise facilities staff, including maintenance technicians and janitorial teams.
    • Provide training and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and building codes.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and resolve issues promptly.
