Position Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
General
• Productivity, quality, and attendance are maintained at minimum acceptable performance standards
• Works with other associates to maintain a positive team environment
• Follows good work practices on all orders
• Set up to cut stables, spacers, flexes, raw material switch packages and material requiring no dimensions
• Identify and locate proper die to be used
• Check first piece part to make sure cut is to stated quality criteria
• Make periodic quality checks throughout run
• Remove die from press and store properly
• Responsible for meeting all quality guidelines
• Identify production priority through the material flow system within the team
• Reads and follow work orders, work instructions, blueprints, workmanship criteria manual, deviations ECR's and other company documentation.
• Pulls correct materials
• Proposes productivity improvements in material usage and die cutting (help optimize equipment utilization). Flexes into other machine and assembly jobs as production schedule dictates
• Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment
• Work with exposures to hazards such as chemicals and dust
• Work near moving machinery and equipment
• Work in a noisy environment
Physical Demands
• Prolonged periods of standing (up to 6 hours at a time)
• Reaching and Stretching
• Operate light Machinery
• Correctable vision to 20/20
• Lift up to 10-30 lbs. Frequent twisting and turning
