Production Lead

Responsibilities
As a Production Lead, you will work closely with leadership to ensure the efficient and high-quality packaging of our Kringle and other products. Your key responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with team members to package products according to production standards and demands.

Supporting and leading Packaging teams (approximately 25 team members) through daily production needs and operations.

Ensuring accurate and timely completion of startup and closing procedures for packaging lines.

Engaging team members and working with managers, supervisors, and Human Resources to foster positive working relationships.

Assisting the Packaging Supervisor in overseeing the finishing and on-time packaging of products for retail stores, corporate accounts, and mail order.

Training, coaching, and developing staff members, with the support and guidance of the Packaging Supervisor.

Proactively assessing and anticipating staffing needs, efficiency bottlenecks, and inventory demands to set teams and product up for future success.

Working to optimize operational efficiencies while ensuring the company’s high quality standards are met or exceeded.

Ensuring that all team members are trained in and adhere to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Ensuring that all team members are trained in and adhere to the company's HACCP and other food safety procedures.

Adhering to SQF guidelines by properly documenting all quality and safety checks.

Troubleshooting equipment issues within the company’s maintenance program and involving maintenance to ensure equipment availability and proper upkeep.

Ensuring daily/weekly orders are being filled accurately.

Being willing to assist other departments as needed to support our mission.

Performing other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in a food service and/or manufacturing environment is strongly desired.

Previous experience in a leadership role within food service, manufacturing, or another relevant industry is preferred.

Strong Math skills, including but not limited to the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without the aid of a calculator.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
