Now Hiring: Equipment Maintenance Tech

Location: McMinnville, OR
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time

We are seeking a Equipment Maintenance Tech to join our team at a farm equipment sales and rental company. This role is essential in providing diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul machinery and vehicles out at customer locations. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Record details of repairs made, and parts used.

  • Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments as necessary.

  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.

  • Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.

  • Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools.

  • Use diagnostic equipment to properly diagnose and reprogram ECU’s when needed

  • Write up description of repairs for billing

  • Contact customers regarding repairs needed and completed while in the field

  • Communicate with service office regarding scheduling of return appointments needed

  • Keep up to date on all training requirements

  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle

  • Report maintenance needs of vehicle to service manager

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and OEM Diagnostic software.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/ GED

  • 2-5 years of service technician experience

LANGUAGE AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to management.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION

  • Forklift certified preferred

  • Kubota Registered Technician preferred

  • Valid Driver’s license (CDL & Med card Preferred)
