We're looking for an experienced *seasonal* Payroll Coordinator to support the payroll department in daily tasks and ensure that all of our employees receive on-time paychecks on a weekly basis. We'll rely on our payroll coordinator to audit and verify all time keeping records of employees' hours worked and accuracy of labor costing amounts. We also need a professional who is willing to work with seasonal clients to ensure a smooth payroll with the increase of employees. 


Job Title: Seasonal Payroll Coordinator

Location: Sanger, CA

Pay Rate: $20/hr.

Shift: 1st

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to support the payroll department in daily tasks and ensure that all of our employees receive on-time paychecks on a weekly basis. We'll rely on our payroll coordinator to audit and verify all time keeping records of employees' hours worked and accuracy of labor costing amounts. We also need a professional who is willing to work with seasonal clients to ensure a smooth payroll with the increase of employees. 


Candidate must be able to meet the following requirements:

  • Verify timekeeping records and consult with branch staff about any discrepancies
  • Record payroll data in our software system. Verify hours and amounts prior to cutting checks
  • Alter employee tax status as needed as well as any information about withholding
  • Prepare manual checks for distribution to employees
  • Initiate direct deposits
  • Change employee banking records when necessary to process payments accurately
  • Maintain compliant policies and procedures for processing payroll checks
  • Be extremely detail oriented; this position is largely comprised of data entry, tracking and follow up
  • Possess good organizational/document control
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn
  • Work well within a team and fast paced environment
  • Process large volume of payroll year round and handle payroll for seasonal accounts that increase in season
  • Time management and ability to keep deadlines
  • Communicate with branches, employees and team mates 
  • Support Payroll Dept with admin duties
  • Accounting experience a plus
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel, Google products and Adobe
  • Customer Service skills


Education and/or Experience:

  • 3 year experience with Payroll or similar background preferred


Computer Skills:

  • Strong computer skills required; excellent with Excel and all Microsoft automation


Reasoning Ability:

  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of distribution center operations
  • Strong sense of teamwork
  • Able to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability to travel to support branches and Corporate office
