Job Overview:
Reports to the Corporate Controller. Manage the full cycle of the employee experience, fromrecruitment to separation. Administers weekly payroll. Maintains compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, training, and employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer compensation and benefit plans.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters
- Collaborates with the HR Director to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
- Organize annual employee performance reviews
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, which includes safety, anti-harassment, and policy training.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to HR Director.
- Attend and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Three (3) years of human resource administration experience required.
- Three (3) years of payroll processing experience required.
Qualifications:
- Communication skills in English and Spanish required.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach.
- Ability to respectfully interact with employees from all levels of the Company required.
- Must be organized and have consistent follow through skills to achieve daily responsibilities.
- Be able to demonstrate strong conflict resolution skills, including note taking.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Be able to meet weekly payroll timeline.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Walking and climbing stairs.
- Able to stand, regularly required to talk and hear.
- Must have good vision and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Plant equipment noise is elevated requiring the use of hearing protection and seasonal temperatures can be expected.
- Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor.
