Birmingham, AL: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Industrial Laundry Technician to service northern Alabama and occasionally portions of Mississippi.
Essential Duties:
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial washers, dryers, and finishing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems (bearings, belts, pulleys, seals) by identifying wear, misalignment, and issues such as leaks, vibration, or unusual noises.
• Inspect and repair electrical systems including wiring, switches, thermostats, sensors, heating elements, and control panels.
• Test and maintain safety systems such as emergency stops and interlocks to ensure customer and operator protection.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams to solve complex problems.
• Document service work performed and communicate clearly with customers and team members.
Requirements/Skills:
• Proven experience in industrial machine repair, preferably with laundry equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic systems a plus.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
