Quality Inspector - Fabrication

 Overview:

St. Bernard, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect completed fabrication projects to ensure quality and conformity to customer specifications.

Essential Duties:

• Perform inspections as needed for nonconforming receipt inspection

• Inspect welds for conformity to codes such as D1.1/5

• Calibrate inspection equipment and tools

• Perform final inspections

• Measure overall characteristics of parts

• Report inspection results

• Inspect grade, shape, and thickness of incoming material

• Ensure bolt specifications align with purchase orders

• Measure paint thickness levels

• Maintain accurate inspection records

• Identify non-conforming material

• Review condition of incoming consumables and paint

• Confirm proper gauges are used for measuring weld sizes

• Ensure only calibrated tools are used during inspections

Requirements/Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Minimum of two years of related experience

• Ability to read blueprints is required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
