CNC Operator (Entry Level)
Independence, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an entry-level CNC Operator to join a leading manufacturing team. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for individuals beginning their career in CNC machining who are eager to grow their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Essential Duties:
• Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers
• Interpret and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Load raw materials and tooling into machines with accurate alignment and calibration
• Perform routine inspections, measurements, and quality checks using precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety policies
• Accurately document production data and maintain job-related paperwork
Requirements/Skills:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating CNC machinery preferred, but recent training or vocational school graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Eagerness to learn and develop CNC skills in a hands-on environment
• Willingness to work Monday – Friday, 8–10-hour shifts, with overtime as needed
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate precision equipment
