(Mobile, AL): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Material Handler / Stockroom Associate.

Summary

Under general supervision, the Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the facility while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production and shipping operations.

Essential Duties:

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine required materials
• Move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated work areas
• Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or material requests and distribute items to production or assembly teams
• Assemble customer orders from stock and stage on pallets, shelves, or transport to packing or shipping areas
• Label and mark materials with identifying information as required
• Open bales, crates, boxes, and other containers
• Record quantities of materials or items received and distributed
• Weigh or count materials to ensure accuracy and conformance to company standards
• Arrange stock parts in proper sequence for assembly or production use
• Enter inventory and transaction data into computer systems
• Compile worksheets or tickets based on customer or production specifications
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments
• Prepare parcels and materials for shipment or mailing
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in work areas

Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Three to six months of warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, orders, and basic documentation
• Basic math skills including counting, addition, subtraction, and weighing
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependability
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
• Forklift experience or certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, handle, and use hands and arms
• Frequently required to lift, push, pull, or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform close, distance, color, and depth perception tasks
• Work environment may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
