Forklift Operator
Overview:
New Iberia, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Forklift Operator for a long-term temporary role (minimum of 3 months) to support distribution center operations. This position involves operating a forklift to move product throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and handling materials safely and efficiently. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining quality standards.
Essential Duties:
Operate a forklift to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
Load and unload products from trucks using a forklift
Assist with bagging or securing materials as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Follow all safety and operational procedures
Work rotating shifts weekly:
Week 1: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Week 2: Evening Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
(Monday – Friday; 2 employees per shift)
Perform other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor
Requirements/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience required
Must be reliable and able to report to work consistently
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Experience in warehouse or industrial environments preferred
Strong work ethic and teamwork attitude
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Stand, bend, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
Work is performed in a warehouse/distribution environment
Required PPE includes steel-toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses
