(Baton Rouge, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Cost Controller for an immediate opening with a confidential client in Baton Rouge. This is a office-based position responsible for supporting cost control functions for assigned projects. The Cost Controller will contribute to cost tracking, budget monitoring, and reporting activities to ensure alignment with project financial objectives.
Essential Duties:
• Assist in developing and maintaining project cost tracking systems
• Update and validate cost data in collaboration with the project team
• Support budget development and cost estimating activities
• Monitor actual costs versus forecasts and identify variances
• Learn and apply cost engineering software tools and procedures
• Interface with accounting and procurement to ensure accurate and compliant cost validation
• Support project audits and help resolve cost-related discrepancies
• Practice continuous quality control and promote compliance with company and regulatory HSSE procedures
Requirements/Skills:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
• 0–8 years of relevant cost control, financial analysis, or project controls experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in analytical tasks
• Ability to communicate cost variances and support mitigation recommendations
• Familiarity with cost tracking principles and project reporting practices is a plus
• Experience working with accounting, invoicing, or procurement teams preferred
• Basic proficiency with cost control software or willingness to learn
Physical Requirements:
• Sedentary role – primarily office-based work
• Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods
