Quality Assurance/Product Development
New Orleans, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Quality and Product Development professional.
Essential Duties:
• Daily test preparation and testing of spices and various dry food ingredients, including sensory evaluation
• Entering data into spreadsheets
• Performing repetitive testing with precision
• Accurate handling of data and samples
• Conducting plant inspections, product inspections, and sampling
• Preparing product development samples
• Testing of incoming and finished goods
• Participating in food safety training and meetings
• Coordinating with the production team regarding food safety and quality concerns
• Shadowing current QA personnel to cross-train on QA lab responsibilities
• Maintaining awareness of allergens processed in the facility (wheat, soy, milk, egg)
Requirements/Skills:
• College-level science degree or laboratory work experience
• HACCP certification preferred; knowledgeable of FSMA
• Previous laboratory experience preferred
• No wheat, soy, egg, or milk allergies
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong reliability, promptness, and work ethic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime including nights or Saturdays
Physical Requirements:
• Standing for long periods in a laboratory environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
