New Orleans, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Vice President of Operations for a dynamic and rapidly evolving maritime machinery company. This is a pivotal leadership role for a driven and forward-thinking operations executive ready to lead large-scale organizational growth and modernization. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in machining/fabrication, corporate restructuring, and team development, with the confidence and expertise to transform and build a high-performing operational structure.
Essential Duties:
• Lead and oversee daily operations across production, fabrication, and support functions
• Manage and scale a team of 75+ employees, focusing on development, accountability, and performance
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Finance to align operations with financial goals and strategic planning
• Drive modernization initiatives across systems, processes, and technologies
• Lead corporate restructuring and build out a world-class operations team over the next 18 months
• Establish and enforce SOPs, KPIs, and process improvements for operational excellence
• Serve as the primary driver of company growth, identifying opportunities and eliminating inefficiencies
Requirements/Skills:
• Proven experience in operations leadership within a machining or fabrication environment
• Strong background in corporate structure and organizational development
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success in leading large teams and implementing change initiatives
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability
• Experience working in or with maritime or industrial sectors is a plus, but not required
• High initiative and leadership presence—able to act autonomously and decisively
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to navigate a large production facility
• Occasional travel and on-site presence required
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in an industrial environment
