(Metairie, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Electrical Estimator for a confidential client. This is a full-time opportunity with long-term growth potential. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project documents, and supporting the tendering and procurement process for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
Essential Duties:
• Create precise, competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to refine estimates
• Analyze historical and market data to establish cost benchmarks and identify efficiencies
• Assist in procurement, tendering, and negotiation processes
• Monitor budgets and maintain cost reporting systems throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements/Skills:
• 2+ years of experience in electrical estimating or a related role
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices and methods
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and specifications
• Solid project management background with strong organizational skills
• Analytical mindset with strong numerical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
• Ability to read construction documents and blueprints
• Occasional travel to project sites, as needed
