Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Offshore Natural Gas Compressor Mechanic for a 14 days on / 14 days off rotational position in inland waters. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a confidential client. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Waukesha and Caterpillar engines, along with a broad knowledge of various engine and compressor systems.
Essential Duties:
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial engines and compressors in offshore environments
• Perform service, maintenance, and testing of engine shutdown systems
• Conduct field repairs and perform in-frame overhauls or complete rebuilds when necessary
• Work with engine systems including (but not limited to) Waukesha, Caterpillar, Cooper, slow-speed, and Ariel packages
• Carry out diesel engine and pump repairs as needed
• Promote good housekeeping, safety awareness, and adherence to safe work practices
• Accurately document service activities and communicate findings with supervisors and team
Requirements/Skills:
• Strong mechanical knowledge and field experience with Waukesha and Caterpillar engines
• Working familiarity with Cooper, Ariel, and slow-speed engines a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot complex engine and compressor issues
• Experience performing in-frame overhauls and full rebuilds (as required)
• Diesel engine or pump repair experience is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to work in offshore and inland water environments
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in confined or elevated spaces
• Must meet offshore medical and safety requirements
• Ability to work extended hours during shift rotation
