(Houston, Texas): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a full-time Level II NDT Quality Control Inspector for a confidential client.
Essential Duties:
• Conduct mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections of purchased, in-process, and finished parts using inspection hand tools, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and optical comparators.
• Perform NDT/NDE inspections in accordance with certification level and requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, shop routers, specifications, and QC documentation.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records and reports.
• Assist operations staff in interpreting manufacturing and inspection requirements.
• Support quality assurance efforts in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Ensure all quality processes meet internal and external specifications.
• Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to company HSE protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contacts to promote quality and operational excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Requirements/Skills:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector in a metal fabrication or rotating equipment manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and basic statistical process control (SPC).
• Solid understanding of welding procedures and the ability to identify welding defects.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including SOP and WPI documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and OSHA General Industry Standards.
• Preferred:
AAS in Inspection Technology or AQS Quality Inspector certification
NDT/NDE certifications in MPI, ECT, LPI, UT, and/or RT
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Manual dexterity to operate precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Visual acuity for performing detailed inspections and identifying defects.
