Overview:
(Kenner, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Sheet Metal Laser and Press Brake Programmer to support a mid-size manufacturer specializing in high-quality commercial and industrial laundry equipment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Trumpf laser and press brake programming, with a strong focus on precision, efficiency, and collaboration within a fast-paced production environment.

 

Essential Duties:
• Create and optimize dynamic nest programs for Trumpf laser cutting machinery to maximize material utilization and production efficiency.
• Develop accurate press brake programs using Trumpf TruTops Boost software.
• Analyze and refine nesting and bending programs to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet design and operational specifications.
• Troubleshoot programming and machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain organized documentation of programs, setups, and parameters.
• Support maintenance efforts to ensure laser and press brake machinery operates efficiently.
• Stay current on Trumpf technology and propose enhancements to improve processes.

 

Requirements/Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal programming, preferably with Trumpf equipment.
• Proficiency in Trumpf TruTops Boost software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, and forming.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Preferred experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD/CAM platforms.
• Familiarity with Trumpf TruStore software and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for working with programming tools and inspecting components.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
