Mechanic

Overview:
Broussard, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work in a hands-on workshop environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment of field equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operations. This individual will support service delivery performance through preventive and corrective maintenance practices aligned with company procedures.

Essential Duties:
• Operate cranes and forklifts to load and unload equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish mechanical and electrical components of field tools and equipment.
• Implement mandatory equipment modifications and plan/execute preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Sort, organize, and store equipment and materials appropriately.
• Prepare outgoing shipments and accept incoming equipment deliveries.
• Use hand tools to open crates and containers and verify shipment contents.
• Conduct independent quantity verification and documentation.
• Be available for approved overtime and on-call urgent needs as required.
• Follow all maintenance procedures and complete associated documentation.
• Complete all required training and competency assessments per company standards.
• Understand and follow company Quality Policy, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship within time constraints.
• Use and understand all relevant maintenance, inspection, and repair documentation.
• Lead basic troubleshooting and assist in performing competency assessments under supervision.
• Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements/Skills:
• Electro-mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of pressure safety.
• Operational knowledge of cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Must be capable of lifting equipment and tools weighing between 25 and 50 pounds.
• Able to perform manual tasks, including using hand tools and operating forklifts/cranes.
• Must be physically able to meet the demands of a workshop environment.
