Overview:
Houston, Texas: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Sr. Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining financial data, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and collaborating cross-functionally with direct communication to the Operations Director and Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving purposeful innovation and operational excellence.
Essential Duties:
• Communicate and present analytical findings and financial results to senior management across multiple departments.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and support operational accounting projects.
• Design and implement automated, streamlined processes for reporting and data analysis.
• Collaborate daily with finance and operations personnel to drive financial performance.
• Analyze, manage, and distribute weekly and monthly financial schedules, including balance sheet and income statement reports.
• Review and approve monthly account reconciliations using Blackline.
• Assist in the development of monthly project POC forecasts and project budget reviews.
• Support teams with financial instruction and technical assistance related to transactions and operational processes.
• Lead the review and execution of system annual standard costs.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets for upper management review.
Requirements/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting, auditing, or related experience.
• At least 5 years of cost accounting experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of FP&A experience.
• Previous leadership experience as a project lead or people manager.
• Experience within the manufacturing industry is required.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel (minimum 5 years).
• Automation and data visualization tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter with proven ability to problem-solve independently.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent designation preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle, Hyperion, Smart View, Snowflake, Power BI, and Alteryx is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility as needed.
