Daphne, AL: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Financial Counselor for a confidential healthcare client. This position plays a key role in supporting patient financial services by assisting individuals with understanding and managing their account responsibilities.

Essential Duties:

• Review and analyze patient account data to obtain necessary information for various types of financial accounts

• Communicate with responsible parties to explain available payment options and coordinate appropriate financial arrangements

• Counsel customers on payment plans, insurance coverage, and outstanding balances

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with department policies

• Answer incoming calls promptly and provide courteous and professional support to all customer inquiries

• Support administrative and special projects to assist in the daily operations of the department

• Recommend appropriate actions for problem accounts and assist fellow counselors when needed

 

Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)

• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare billing, financial counseling, or customer service preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

• Ability to explain financial information in a clear, professional manner

• Proficiency in data entry and basic office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• May involve occasional standing, walking, or lifting of office materials (up to 15 lbs)

• Must be able to effectively communicate in person and via phone
