Purchasing Representative

(Baton Rouge, Louisiana):
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Purchasing Representative to join our client’s team. This is a full-time position working Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (with a 1-hour lunch from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM). The Purchasing Representative will report directly to the General Manager.

Essential Duties:
• Process all purchase requisitions in the system
• Generate work orders for the machine shop
• Create purchase orders based on individual job requirements
• Monitor and adjust stock levels in the inventory system as needed
• Answer incoming phone calls and route to the correct department
• Coordinate with finished goods and raw material departments to ensure proper processing of items
• Collaborate with current vendors and identify new vendors to improve product quality
• Handle quote requests from the inside sales team

Requirements/Skills:
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic mathematical skills
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task when necessary

Physical Requirements:
• Primarily office-based role with standard business hours
• Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer and phone for extended periods
