Overview:
Kenner, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial laundry sling systems and related material handling projects.
Essential Duties:
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for sling systems, overhead rail, cart handling, and integrated material handling solutions in commercial laundry facilities.
• Coordinate across internal departments including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service to ensure successful project execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project, managing expectations, communications, and satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, installation plans, and resource allocations to meet key milestones.
• Review system layouts, technical specifications, and submittals to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Oversee site readiness, logistics planning, and installation coordination with subcontractors or field technicians.
• Monitor project budgets, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide on-site or remote support during system installation, commissioning, and customer handoff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical documentation, and internal quality procedures.
Requirements/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in capital equipment, automated systems, or industrial laundry environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, overhead conveyors, pneumatic or sling systems, and plant layouts.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or layout tools, and Microsoft Office Suite; project management software experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel to customer sites for project meetings, site reviews, and installation oversight.
• Ability to travel to corporate office.
• Relocation is preferred, but not necessary.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to travel frequently.
• Capable of working in industrial environments, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
