Shipping/Receiving Specialist
Overview:
Saint Rose, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Documentation and Shipping/Receiving Specialist to manage the shipping, receiving, and documentation of radioactive materials, radiography equipment, and raw materials used in the manufacturing process. This position involves a high volume of data entry and requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards.
Essential Duties:
• Document shipping and receiving of radioactive and non-radioactive materials in accordance with work instructions
• Ship and receive radioactive and non-radioactive materials as specified in procedures
• Maintain accurate inventory control and documentation for incoming and outgoing stock
• Prepare air rate quotes and proposals with a professional standard
• Process both domestic and international shipments
• Coordinate with contracted vendors to secure transportation space and services
• Update shipment status promptly, issue shipment alerts, and manage U.S. Customs documentation
• Prepare master bills of lading, commercial documents, letters of credit, and licenses
• Ensure timely and accurate document processing
• Maintain compliance with government regulations, internal procedures, and company policies
Requirements/Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Proficiency in data entry and document management
• Experience in shipping/receiving logistics, preferably involving hazardous materials
• Knowledge of inventory systems and control procedures
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and manage international shipping processes
• Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and documentation
• Effective communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Manual dexterity for handling packages and documentation
