Logistics Manager
Overview:
Houston Texas: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all logistics functions including material receipt, storage, inventory accuracy, production support, and delivery. This position plays a critical role in supporting the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all logistics and warehousing operations.
Essential Duties:
• Ensure team adherence to QMS procedures and support ISO 9001 compliance
• Lead and manage shipping/receiving operations in accordance with company policies
• Maintain accurate inventory records; conduct regular cycle counts and reconciliations
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Contracts Administration to support material flow
• Monitor vendor performance for logistics services and ensure timely material delivery
• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of all staging and storage areas
• Maintain equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes; support general facility upkeep
• Provide timely shipping cost data and assist in job closeout material returns
• Train and supervise logistics personnel to support organizational goals
Requirements/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (experience may substitute)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant logistics or warehousing experience (3–5 years preferred)
• Forklift Certification required; Overhead Crane Certification a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and specifications
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and risk-based thinking
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs; frequently up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and work in confined spaces or variable weather
• Tolerate exposure to dust, noise, heat, and cold in a warehouse environment
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Visual acuity required for reading labels, documents, and operating equipment safely
