Machine Shop Helper
Overview: The role of a Shop Helper involves assisting in day-to-day operations, maintaining cleanliness, and tidiness of the shop floor, along with organizing inventory and working with other team members. Tasks include inspecting product, operating relevant equipment, and ensuring a safe and well-presented retail environment.
Independence, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Machine Shop Helper to join a leading manufacturing team.
Essential Duties:
Assist in the daily operations of the shop
Clean and organize work areas and equipment
Unload and load supplies and materials as needed
Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment and machinery
Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery
Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment
Provide support to other staff members as needed
Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
Requirements/Skills:
Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment
Basic knowledge of tools and machinery used in a shop environment
Good communication skills to work collaboratively with fellow shop employees
Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed
Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as required
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks
Reliable Transportation
Pass all required screenings
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50lbs
Work in non-climate controlled environment
Stand for 8-10 hours
