 Overview:
Chalmette, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled TIG and Stick Welder with experience in carbon steel, stainless steel, and high alloys. This position requires a 6G weld test on 2" material and is ideal for candidates with 5-10 years of hands-on welding experience. The role involves travel throughout the New Orleans area and offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule with some overtime.

Essential Duties:
• Perform TIG and stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and high alloy materials
• Successfully complete and pass a 6G weld test on 2" pipe
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications
• Ensure welds meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Travel to various job sites within the New Orleans area as needed
 • Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule

Requirements/Skills:
• 5-10 years of experience in TIG and stick welding
• Proficient in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and high alloys
• Ability to pass a 6G weld test on 2" pipe
• Strong knowledge of welding equipment and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Willingness to travel locally for work assignments
 • Reliable transportation and good attendance record

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments
 • Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination required
