New Orleans, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Direct Hire Electrical Service Technician for a confidential client in the New Orleans area. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional to perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
Essential Duties:
• Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits
• Work with motor starters and start/stop controls
• Use multi-meter, amp meter, and megger for diagnostics
• Terminate commonly used electrical equipment
• Read and interpret one-line drawings
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps
• Supervise and train Level 3 technicians
• Assist in managing assigned projects
• Be on-call for seven-day rotation periods
• Travel occasionally to other company locations as needed
• Follow all safety and operational policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements/Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in the electrical service industry
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work professionally with employees, management, and customers
• Basic mechanical skills
• Must be capable of acquiring a valid TWIC
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with no DWI convictions
• Must pass criminal background check
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for extended distances
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and gangways up to 25 feet
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and work overhead for extended periods
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely and courteously
