Independence LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to supervise our Testing and Shipping Department within the machine shop. This pivotal role involves hands-on leadership and coordination across product testing, quality assurance, final inspections, packaging, and logistics. The primary objective is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality products to our valued customers.
Essential Duties:
· Supervise daily operations and personnel in the Testing and Shipping Department.
· Manage employee schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
· Foster a team culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Oversee all hydrostatic testing, painting, coatings, palletizing, stencil application, and assembly processes.
· Ensure all final inspections and tests meet internal and customer-specific quality standards.
· Collaborate with the Quality Department, maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
· Guarantee 100% compliance with quality acceptance criteria.
· Oversee packaging, labeling, and logistics to ensure timely, accurate shipments.
· Coordinate product pickups and deliveries to meet strict deadlines.
· Maintain detailed records of all shipping activities and documentation.
· Ensure work orders and shipping paperwork are completed accurately and promptly.
· Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager regarding order progress and issues.
· Support inventory control procedures within the department.
· Enforce all safety regulations and company policies.
· Conduct routine safety checks and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Requirements/Skills:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, shipping, or quality control environment.
· Working knowledge of quality assurance practices and shipping procedures.
· Proficiency in inventory, shipping, and testing documentation systems.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (subject to seasonal temperatures, including heat and humidity).
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and twist for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
· Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally more with assistance.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
