Keithville, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving clerk outside of Shreveport.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare shipments for postal or commercial delivery
- Determine most cost-effective and timely shipping method
- Create bills of lading; verify quantities and routing per work orders
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments
- Match packing slips with purchase orders
- Log, label, count, sort, and store incoming and outgoing materials
- Document and report damages, discrepancies, and delivery issues
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift, dolly)
- Maintain organized shipping/receiving records and reports
- May operate shrink-wrap machine or company vehicle
- Follow all company procedures and safety protocols
- Train and assist other team members as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements/Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable with physical tasks (e.g., lifting, sorting)
- Understands and follows safety procedures
- Maintains quality and safety standards
- Familiar with warehouse equipment and inventory systems
- Reliable record-keeping and documentation habits
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching throughout the shift
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED – No exceptions.
