Overview:
Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager with experience in client interaction and plan preparation.
Essential Duties:
• Prepare construction design plans and implement design ideas
• Conduct full hydrology studies including pipe, flood, and culvert analysis
• Prepare basic site planning and grading
• Participate in plan production and apply civil engineering principles
• Develop and review site layout, including site planning, erosion control, storm and sanitary sewer, domestic water, and grading design
• Research and apply parish, city, and state regulations
• Review plans for consistency and accuracy
• Ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
• Maintain professional and ethical interactions with clients, staff, and suppliers
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet deadlines and project goals
• Promote and contribute to a professional, team-oriented work environment
Requirements/Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering and site design
• Proficiency in Civil 3D (AutoCAD)
• Ability to pursue professional registrations and licenses
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
• Occasional travel to project sites may be required
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds when handling documents or small equipment
