(Daphne, AL): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Analyst – Biller/Collector. This position plays a vital role in the reimbursement process, performing detailed analyses related to insurance billing and collections to support third-party payments for healthcare services.

 

Essential Duties:

• Submit insurance claims to various carriers in compliance with governmental regulations, contractual billing rules, and industry standards to ensure optimal reimbursement

• Analyze delinquent insurance claims and use available tools to investigate, correct, and resubmit claims

• Gather necessary documentation from healthcare providers to support the medical necessity of billed services

• Communicate with responsible parties to arrange payments or alternative settlements per company guidelines

• Document and prepare accounts for further action, following departmental procedures for tracking collection activity

• Act as a resource for insurance billing and collection rules; may assist with training and support for team members

 

Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

• Strong keyboarding and computer skills

• Experience with spreadsheet and word processing programs preferred

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse range of people

• Working knowledge of healthcare insurance billing and collections processes

• Familiarity with state and federal collections laws and insurance regulations a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• Ability to work regular full-time shifts with potential for overtime and callback as needed

• Must be able to focus and perform detailed work for extended periods
