(Conroe, Texas): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Mold PM Technician/Toolmaker for a 2nd shift position.

Position Summary:
The Mold PM Technician/Toolmaker will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Preventive Maintenance program for all Plastic Injection Molds. This position will ensure that proper standards, procedures, and record-keeping are followed to maintain the molds' efficiency and longevity. The technician will also perform Tool Maker duties as needed and ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and best practices.

Essential Duties:

  • Retrieve molds from storage and prepare them for molding according to the schedule.

  • Perform mold PM based on priority and ensure molds are ready for storage when needed.

  • Maintain required documentation for each mold to ensure a complete activity trail.

  • Collaborate with the Molding Department to schedule PMs and avoid production conflicts.

  • Assist with job planning related to tooling projects.

  • Suggest and implement improvements to departmental efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Set up necessary equipment and machinery.

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement events.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines through GMPs and documentation.

  • Inspect and prepare molds for production.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, and determine necessary machine operations.

  • Inspect tools for defects and perform necessary repairs.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience with plastic injection molds, hot runner systems, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

  • Experience in maintaining injection molds, hot runner systems, and related components.

  • Journeyman Toolmaker or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Safety-focused with a commitment to best work practices.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must be able to read and write in English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various equipment and machinery.

Shift:
1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
