CNC Machinist
Overview:
Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Machine Shop team. This is a full-time position with hours from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce new parts in accordance with work order specifications.
Essential Duties:
• Read and interpret drawings and work orders to determine required materials for each job
• Operate and maintain assigned CNC machines daily
• Manufacture new parts according to the specifications listed in work orders
• Inspect completed parts for accuracy before submission to the Quality Control Department
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace around machines and work tables
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues as needed
Requirements/Skills:
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• Previous CNC machining experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling materials
• Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching
