Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a New Business Development Representative for a company in the food manufacturing and packaging industry.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for qualifying and closing new businesses that align with our strategic sales plan

  • Responsible to drive new business growth mainly through inbound website leads and outgoing prospecting

  • Follow up after receiving inquires with targeted correspondence

  • Meet with potential new customers either virtually or in-person

  • Utilize Salesforce to track all correspondence with prospective customers

  • Move prospects through the sales cycle (pricing, sampling, art development, closing)

  • Attend trade shows and industry events as needed (possible 2-3 a year)

  • Grow the business by systematically closing new opportunities through effective follow-up

  • Sell new customers targeting start up opportunities and small-size established companies

  • Conduct virtual or in-person meetings for qualified opportunities to explore products and advance the opportunity.

  • New prospect follow-up

    • Work with Director of Sales to execute on pricing and address any barriers

  • Complete new customer set-up and forms.

    • Execute credit application and term sheet

    • Supplier guarantee

    • Contract execution

  • Manage hand-off to creative project lead when opportunity has been won.

    • Pricing created, confirmed, and approved.

  • Trade show attendance and engagement with existing customers and new prospects.

    • Booth visits

    • Customer/Prospect dinners

 

What Your Main Goals Will Be:

  • Sales Growth – closing new business

  • Selling new line extensions or other products to existing customers

What We Would Like:

  • 4-year degree preferred

  • 3 years food/beverage or food manufacturing sales experience

  • Coffee industry knowledge a plus

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experienced using Salesforce or similar CRM system

  • Experienced in New Business acquisition

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong drive and self-motivation

  • Travel as needed to attend Industry, customer events, and sales opportunities

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility: Must be able to travel to client sites and attend meetings as required.

  • Dexterity: Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mobile devices.

  • Vision: Must have sufficient vision to read documents and screens.

  • Hearing: Must be able to communicate effectively over the phone and in-person.
