Mobile, AL: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Traffic Controller.
Essential Duties:
• Place traffic signs throughout the county, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Perform complex traffic control operations to maintain road safety.
• Operate a sign truck to install traffic control signs, including the use of post drivers and pullers when necessary.
• Assist other crews within the department as needed.
• Ensure proper placement and alignment of traffic control signs according to current standards.
• Perform routine manual labor on other crews when required.
• Conduct safety and maintenance inspections of assigned equipment prior to operation.
• Travel and work overtime as needed.
Requirements/Skills:
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle background check (MVR) and a pre-employment drug test.
• Willingness to drive as an essential function of the role.
• Ability to operate traffic control equipment, including trucks, post drivers, and pullers.
• Strong knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and assist other crews when needed.
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel to various job sites.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and setting up traffic control signs and equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor as required by the position.
