Hypermill Operator
Overview:
(La Porte, TX): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a CNC Machinist with 5-Axis DMU Mill experience. Experience with HyperMill is a huge plus. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing company. The contract will last 1,040 hours and the contract can be bought out early.
Essential Duties:
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
• Loading raw materials into the CNC machine.
• Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
• Choosing and loading the correct butting tools for the job.
• Adjusting the machine settings to the desired product process.
• Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
• Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
• Cleaning and maintain the machine.
Requirements/Skills:
• High school graduate of GED equivalent.
• 3+ years previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
• Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
• Machining exotic materials.
• Experienced running 5-Axis DMU 65 and 50 Mills with HyperMill programming.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to work after-hours when required.
