Mechanic

Overview:
Harahan, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Small Engine Mechanic to support operations by maintaining and repairing electrical wire braiding machines and performing overall maintenance in the electrical warehouse. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts.

Essential Duties:
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines, including those used in electrical wire braiding machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on warehouse electrical equipment.
• Ensure all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with general electrical warehouse maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements/Skills:
• Experience as a small engine mechanic, with knowledge of electrical wire braiding machines preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical components.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to machinery and electrical components.
