Construction Materials Technician
Overview:
Lake Charles/Sulpher, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an entry, mid, or senior level Construction Materials Testing Technicians in Lake Charles and Sulphur. This position requires testing and inspection of various construction materials, including soils, concrete, and pile . All necessary training will be provided.
Essential Duties:
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow corporate safety procedures at all times.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients.
• Arrive at assigned job sites on time each day.
• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis.
• Communicate with onsite clients daily and relay any information to management.
Requirements/Skills:
• Must have dependable transportation; a truck is preferable, as there is an incentive program for using it for work.
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a TWIC background check.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Must be able to maintain an "On Call" schedule and be willing to work during non-standard hours.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment as required.
• Must be physically fit to handle labor-intensive tasks and outdoor work.
